The Bucharest Startup Weekend Plan is as follows:

You come to Bucharest Hubb on Friday evening. Hopefully traffic won’t stop you from getting there at 5.30PM (5.00 if you plan on paying at the door for your ticket).

We will give you a free t-shirt (representing, yo!) made by our awesome partners at Bumbac100, we will have pizza, drinks, and then our guests will tell you about
- AWS and Cloud Computing: each team will have $100 worth free credit from our main Sponsor – Amazon Web Services, and Dan Feld (the regional AWS sales Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will give you technical assistance throughout the weekend on how to use the AWS services.
- “How To Pitch Your Idea” – presentation by Can Ertugrul, Business Analyst at i5invest, who will have a 45 minutes training session with guys and girls that have ideas but are not confident in presenting it.

After you will present your ideas (or just watch others), you will form the teams, and if you won’t be too exhausted we can all go out and have a beer together, to kickstart the weekend in a partay mode.

Saturday is a full team work day! We expect you at Bucharest Hubb at 9am for coffee, at 10am Can Ertugrul will hold a Voluntary Business Model Session to get you started on your business plan and whatnot. Before lunch, Ciprian Borodescu will talk about the amazing experience he had with the Webcrumbz team at StartupBootcamp in Denmark.

After lunch, professionals from a variety of fields- Internet gurus, business pros, VC’s will mentor each team and guide you to making sure that you are on the right track with your project. The list of Mentors is posted in our websites’ sidebar.

Dinner, beer, and *bring your own Redbull* for the hardcore teams that either want to go out and celebrate the progress made throughout the day, or keep working and come back on Sunday with their project mostly done!

Sleep, wake up, repeat on Sunday: breakfast at 9am, work, lunch, mentoring, and work.

However, Sunday is the BIG day, as you will have to make a 3 minutes presentation of your project / application, that you will pitch in the evening in front of the Jury! As we already mentioned, Seedmoney is willing to fund a project that they consider that has great potential with 20.000 Euros! Also, the winning team will get $1000 in AWS credits, and we’ll anounce more prizes at the event.

For a little heads up, the BusinessLive.ro reporters will come to Bucharest Hubb on Sunday and interview attendees about how their Startup Weekend experience.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if you pitch an idea, it might not get voted as a project to work on during the weekend. In this case, we encourage you to join a team that you really like the idea of and you think you can contribute to bringing it to the stage of startup by sunday evening. This is a learning experience, and more than anything a networking event!

Also, you have the option to pay at-the-door on the day of the event, but please still use the registration form and register for the Pay at-the-door ticket, since we need to make arrangement for food and drinks (we will provide drinks and 7 meals throughout the weekend).
